SPIRITUAL SURRENDER {in conclusion…}
“To surrender does not mean in any way to give up. On the contrary, surrender is the wisdom to know the difference between understanding what you are meant to say or do and what you are meant to let go and let be to a higher power. Surrender is to finally accept that there is a reason for everything and that no matter how hard you try to influence the mindset of another, it is simply not meant to be that way. It will probably become the most difficult decision of your life to let go and let be when you believe you have the best interests of another at heart. But the brutal truth remains that you cannot control another’s destiny. It is a difficult process to accept that you, with all your best intentions for those you love, will always be limited to what you can say and do and what you cannot. You can want, as we all do, the very best for your children for instance, but sooner or later we all come to the realization that they, too, are masters of their own destiny. You can try with all the power within you to protect, guide, advise and love them into a safe and beautiful life filled with all good things but the reality remains it is they that are responsible to make the final choices that can deliver them into a magnificent life. When you begin to surrender, you enter into a phase where wisdom becomes the mindset and you allow others to have the same freedom as you do to make their own choices in life because sooner or later, whether you like it or not, they will make their final choices. As you navigate through your journey in life, you learn that you, and only you, are responsible for what you create in life, whether good or bad. If you can accept that as a reality, then you must also accept that we are all the same with the same freedoms and choices and that includes your children, parents, siblings, spouses, friends and every other person you will encounter in your journey. Surrender is an emotion based on truth that there is more to life than you could ever imagine and that you were never meant to be in charge of the world around you or in control of everybody’s choices except your own. Surrender will set you free and give you the inner peace of letting go, letting be and finding solace. The choice is yours.”
